Start with the outfit you will repeat
The easiest travel wardrobe is not the biggest one. It is the one with two or three outfits you are happy to repeat. A set helps because the top and bottom already speak the same language.
Wear it together on the first night, split it with a vest or linen trouser later, then bring it back for the return day. That small amount of structure keeps a holiday bag from becoming a pile of almost-outfits.
Keep the styling light
Resort dressing works best when nothing looks overworked. Flat sandals, a soft bag, sunglasses, and one piece of jewellery are usually enough. The point is to look ready without carrying a full styling kit.
That restraint matters on hot trips, where comfort and laundry reality shape the wardrobe more than a mood board does.
Pack for dinner without packing a separate dinner wardrobe
A set can move from day to evening with a change of shoe, a neater bag, or a light layer. That is useful when the trip has casual restaurants, terrace drinks, or late walks after the beach.
Instead of packing four dresses just in case, build around pieces that can change tone. The suitcase gets smaller, and the outfits get easier to trust.
